One of the realities we have to face living here in Ohio is the cold, harsh winters.

Although I was born and raised here I still have not come to welcome the drastic change in temperatures.

I truly abhor chilly, frigid days and nights. I would much rather move to warmer climate (which is something my hubby and I have discussed several times over the years). Right now it’s just not in the cards due to the economy and housing market. Homes in our area are not selling very well at all so we are stuck here, at least for another round of bone chilling, windy, icky, blah weather. I’m so NOT happy about that!

Something else I dislike about winters here is the “eskimo-ish” get-up we are forced to wear for months outdoors. Those bulky coats give me a straight jacket-like feeling that is SO uncomfortable. I hate being confined and unable to move.

And those gloves are really annoying when I need to answer my phone. Of course it (my cell) goes off right when I’m in the middle of something outdoors so I have to remove my bulky gloves just to use it.

It’s hard enough to hit the right buttons on my touchscreen as it is but to add in the thickness of gloves, well, they aggravate me to the point of wanting to toss them in the street. hahaa! Ok, no, I wouldn’t do that because I’d rather keep my fingers (don’t want frostbite!), but you know what I mean. If you live in a climate like we do, you know all about what I’m talking about.
