Gourmet Gift Baskets Premium Snack Basket {review} + Giveaway ($79.99 value)

I admit I have a sweet tooth. A huge sweet tooth and I also eat snacks. Not just sweet ones but salty and savory ones too. I’m a junk food junkie and I think I need to join a 12 step program. hehee.

NOT!!! No way baby… I love to eat and I’m not giving up the goods. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t spend all day on the couch eating bon bons and sipping soda. And I am not obese by any means. I just love eating good food and I’m not afraid to admit it. Actually my whole family does. We still eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies so don’t jump all over me if you’re a health food fanatic. We just like to live a little.

And I love trying new foods including snacks. I’m also a girl who loves receiving gifts. Gifts of all sorts, and they’re even more special when they’re surprises that just show up at my door. That’s why I was so surprised and excited when I received a gift basket from Gourmet Gift Baskets. What could be better than an unexpected edible gift full of yummy goodness?

The tasty package I received was the Premium Snack Basket. This thing is no puny little basket either. It was big and filled to the rim and way beyond. Plus it was pretty heavy. I was in shock. I honestly had to contain myself as I took pictures because it was SO tempting to just dig right in. But no, for all of you I waited patiently so I could show you how lovely this basket looked. hahaa

• Buttered Peanut Crunch by Old Dominion – 10 oz.

That’s some list, huh? I would make you guess which item I tasted first but I’ll save you the trouble. I sampled the Peanut Roll and I have to tell you, it was a very good choice. The 3 ounce roll is filled with a fluffy nougat center and covered in caramel and lightly salted peanuts. I am a huge fan of Pay Day candy bars and that’s why I chose this first. This roll has all the great flavors of the Pay Day and more. Plus, you’re not trying to keep all of your teeth when you bite into it because it’s nice and soft and very tasty!

My next test was the Key Lime White Chocolate Cookies which were nice and crisp. They have a very nice, refreshingly mild flavor of lime followed by white chocolate bliss. Yummy! My hubby’s favorite was the Buttered Peanut Crunch. I think he ate most of the package all by himself. They were quite tasty. If you love peanut brittle, you’ll love that.

I was honestly afraid to try the Spicy Thai Potato Chips because I’m not big on hot, spicy foods but these were actually good. Not too spicy at all. They do have a bit of a bite to them but not over powering. And I love kettle chips!

Truth be told, I didn’t use the Raspberry Honey Mustard Dip for the pretzels. I ventured out and topped my hot dogs with it and they were SO yummy. It reminded me of sweet relish and mustard. Very good! And I dipped my pretzel sticks in melted cheese. They are the perfect size for dipping into any sauce or just eating plain.

I saved the Mixed Nuts for myself because I love all types of nuts, including my family. hahaa. The mixture contains peanuts, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans and brazil nuts. Yummy!

I’m sitting here noshing on the Strawberry Nut Delight. It has the consistency of a granola bar and the flavor is good — a tart strawberry with a crunch of coconut chips. There’s shredded coconut too but I’m loving the coconut chips.

And lets not forget the wicker basket. It would be a nice gift all by itself. I’m trying to decide if I want to use it to store hand towels, makeup & accessories or use it in my pantry. Decisions, decisions.

We’ve really enjoyed the Premium Snack Basket. Every bit of it was fresh, and well wrapped to seal in the flavors. I would truly be happy and confident in sending this to family, friends, co-workers or anyone who needed a pick-me-up.
