How many Shark Tank fans do I have in the house today? If YOU are, then you know how exciting, yet nerve-wracking the show can be as each entrepreneur steps into the tank and pitches their inventions to the money hungry sharks.

I have a little confession here, my hubby and I are true fans of the show and have made it our ritual to be home in front of the tv every Friday night to catch the newest episode.

The reason we love the show so much is because we, ourselves have several inventions that we would absolutely LOVE to bring to consumers yet don’t have the funds to do so. Products that we know would sell and help people like yourselves with day to day tasks. What holds us back, I guess, is fear that our ideas wouldn’t take off (that others wouldn’t see the greatness in our products) and we would be bankrupt in a matter of months.

That’s what sets those entrepreneurs who step into the Shark Tank apart from people like hubby and me. They aren’t afraid to “go for it” and make their dreams a reality. Some make it big yet others fall flat on their faces and that’s what hubby and I don’t want to see happen— failure. Oh, but to see our ideas go from paper to manufacturing and then onto the shelves of hundreds of stores (then into your homes) would be an amazing feat!

I think it’s great that these billionaires are offering their knowledge and their own money as investments but the sad thing is, it appears they’re more so interested in already produced and selling products. They want to see products that are currently a hit before they invest… so where does that leave entrepreneurs like myself? Those who are afraid to take risks to put their ideas into action?

Well, for now it keeps us sitting in front of the tv watching as other inventors sweat it out in front of the sharks who may or may not be circling and waiting for the kill to partner with the newest entrepreneur thanks to a great invention— that’s where.

The show DOES help get our creative juices flowing and maybe, just maybe, we’ll get up the nerve to put our ideas into action. Then one day, you just might see US on tv, stepping into the Shark Tank and pitching our products to those hungry billionaires.

If you haven’t watched this American reality competition, I highly recommend it. The “sharks” personalities differ widely (some can be quite brutal) with their advice but that’s life baby. To make it big you have to create something spectacular, grow some “fins”, and hope that your pitch will get at least one shark “hooked” before you exit the tank.

ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR MORE?

Now that I’ve got your attention, even if you haven’t yet watched this show you still have the chance to catch up by tuning into Shark Tank on Tuesdays. CNBC is airing reruns back-to-back starting at 8pm.

If you’re just as hooked on this show as we are, boy do I have some exciting news for you! To celebrate this announcement, the promoters of the show (produced by Mark Burnett) sent me a super cool gift box of Shark Tank swag that contains an assortment of products that were successfully launched from past episodes of the show.

That’s right, and what’s even better is that one of you lucky Bella Savvy readers will receive your very own box. Woohoo!!! Before I even got inside I was intrigued by the magnetic-flap closure of the box. It appears that a shark has taken a bite out of it. It also includes a group photo of the shows billionaire stars inside the lid.

The goodies inside are even better. You’ll find each of the following:
