~ I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Carter’s. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating. ~
As all parents know, babies grow like little weeds during their first year of life. In the blink of an eye that tiny little newborn shoots up to become a walking and talking toddler. It’s nearly impossible to keep up with their growth spurts and keep them in clothes that actually fit.
Sometimes I have to wonder if someone is magically “fertilizing” the little blossoms. hehee!
Sadly, if you’re not careful, you can spend a true fortune on your child’s clothing the first year. But, it’s not really necessary, especially when you’re shopping Carter’s. We’ve always loved their brand because they have the latest styles, their clothing is consistent in sizing and quality and they’re made to last a long, long time— even after frequent washes.
I really love that most of Carter’s clothing is versatile in that you can mix and match their tops and bottoms— giving your child more outfits to wear before they outgrow them. That’s a huge help when you’re trying to stretch your apparel budget!
We recently visited our local Carter’s store to take advantage of their Friends & Family Event and get some clothing for Baby E (for Christmas). Boy was I quite impressed, not to mention excited about all of the awesome deals I found. Yes, the clothes are absolutely adorable but the prices were almost unbelievable too. Because baby E is turning 5 months soon and nearly outgrowing size 6 months (he’s going to be a tall boy) I wanted to stock him up on some great clothes and after leaving Carter’s I certainly was NOT disappointed.
1.) 70% off end of year Baby Sale
2.) 50% – 60% off Jumpers & 3-piece sets
4.) 30% off Pajamas
First I have to say I love how the store is laid out — boys clothes on one side, and girls on the other. Plus, they’re separated by size groups. This makes my shopping trip a whole lot easier. I’m not having to go from rack to rack throughout the entire store to find what I’m looking for.
I also appreciate the large sale signs. They’re easy to read and clearly marked for discounts and/or reduced pricing. This makes my shopping trip easier and quicker too.
Now being the savvy mama I am, I ALWAYS start my shopping trip off in the clearance section. I give it a once over and then move around to the other racks. Then I circle back to the clearance and make my selections. I look over the clothes to make sure there are no rips, holes or discoloration and put them in my cart (or in this case on the stroller). Then I head back around to whatever items caught my eye.
One thing I do want to mention is that I, along with other customers (I heard complaining) would SO appreciate it if Carter’s offered small shopping carts. When I go in I’m looking to buy a good amount of stuff and my arms get tired carrying everything. A cart would make my trip not only easier for transporting the items I plan to buy but easier on my back as well!
I was very pleased with the selections available on this shopping trip and was able to purchase quite a bit with my gift card and the 25% discount coupon provided by Carter’s prior to my trip.
Take a look at what I scored…
Baby E is going to be decked out (after Christmas) in stylish duds all season long with 11 tops, denim overalls, 4 jumpers, and a hoodie. He’ll also be having sweet dreams in his 7 sets of pj’s. Plus, keeping dry with the moisture resistant bibs. He suffers from reflux so he spits up a lot and he drools, leaving his shirts cold and damp. Poor baby! I sure hope these bibs take care of that so he can stay dry.
I told you I scored quite a bit. And if that isn’t enough, I also earned $20 in Carter’s Rewards. So, starting now, I can head back to Carter’s and get $20 in FREE apparel (when I purchase $20 worth of apparel– making them FREE). How awesome is that? This lioness was more than thrilled about her finds as she scooted out the door with her large shopping bags— not one but two. hehee!
All total this shopping trip came to $146.54. After getting the $20 in free apparel in the next few days, that’s quite a haul for that price. Don’t you think?
I would show you what Baby E looks like in one of his new outfits but because they’re Christmas gifts, he has to wait to see them and try them on. hehee! I know he will look adorable. Yes, I’m partial.
Head to your local Carter’s and check out their holiday collections— don’t forget to look for their awesome discounts and take along a 25% off coupon (off your entire in-store purchase). This offer is only valid until December 24th!
I guarantee you’ll leave with a ton of great clothes, at awesome prices. Hurry, and stock up for Christmas while the selections are still good!
