Ack… it’s attack of the little yellow oddballs AGAIN but in larger numbers!

They stole the show in Despicable Me and now Despicable Me 2 centers a major part of the movie around these adorable “leetle” guys.

Despicable Me 2 picks up where the original left off with Gru, the super villain who’s grown even more fatherly with smiles, and a softened attitude— playing the ideal patriarch for Margo, Edith, and Agnes.

From the larger than life minions to the plot where Gru maintains a cover as a cupcake baker to find out who’s behind the theft of an entire Arctic facility, there’s plenty of hilarious moments to be had. Though there is a moment when Gru’s geriatric sidekick and only friend doctor Nefario doesn’t take Gru’s change easily. He’s been SO used to the evil lab but now is expected to produce jelly and jam. Say WHAT?!

Agent Lucy Wilde, a new element to this film adds delight with her martial arts, and extremely cool gadgets. She’s the perfect mix of lady and tomboy as her contagious enthusiasm and cute personality charm the audience. She’s lacking a little experience with her attack first and ask questions later nature but Gru becomes smitten.

This super high energy 98-minute film combines spy caper, screwball comedy, and teen romance with loads of laughter, especially the scene with the minions singing a spirited version of Y.M.C.A. from the Village People. It’s very entertaining for the whole family!

Watch this silly movie clip…
