I love my goodies, especially the homemade kind but sadly I don’t always have the time, or energy to dedicate to making them myself. Boo!
Something else about me (if you didn’t already know) I love trying new things. I’ll try anything once, especially if it’s edible. hahaa! You just never know if you like something or not if you don’t give it a nibble first, right? That’s how I am with food and that’s how I’ve raised my kids… try something at least once and if you don’t like it, you don’t have to eat it.
My kids have developed a wide palette because they’re not afraid to try new foods. Ahh, I’m so proud. hehee!
We recently had the opportunity to taste test a variety of “biscuits” from Almondina. Have you heard of them? They’re thin, crisp, rectangle-shaped wafer-like cookies with a slightly sweet satisfying taste.
The Almondina originated in the kitchen of a French/Israeli grandmother named Dina. It was her secret recipe that many have come to know and love.
So what makes these cookies so special? They’re made of all-natural ingredients including almonds, flour, sugar, egg whites, raisins and natural flavors.
I fell in love instantly with the Original Almondina because I love almonds and the sweetness from the chewy raisins. The combination gives you a crunchy, then chewy consistency.
Almondina is available in 15 different flavors including:

Aside from the tasty flavors, I can’t help but appreciate that these confections are made with no added fat or salt, no cholesterol, and no preservatives. Plus, there’s minimal calories so you get a healthier snack that satisfies the sweet tooth but with no lingering guilt.
Try Almondina sandwiched between ricotta or cream cheese for a more savory taste. Or crumble them onto your favorite ice creams and other desserts for an added crunch. Yum!
