My Pillow Pets™ Ms. Ladybug (review) + giveaway

“It’s a pillow, it’s a pet, it’s a Pillow Pet!” Now I know at least most of you have seen that commercial. If not, you must be living under a rock. hahaa

We recently had the opportunity to check out the leader of the My Pillow Pets™ pack — Ms. Ladybug. This is one adorable little fluffy girl. She’s covered in lots of red ‘fur’ and black polka dots. Plus, like any ole ladybug, she has cute little antennae on her head and a funny spotted nose. Her huge smile is enough to make you grin and giggle. Ms. Ladybug is one happy little lady! My daughter actually squealed when she came home from school and saw Ms. Ladybug resting on the back of our couch. She rushed over, snatched her up and gave her a big squeeze. Then she ran over to the couch and rested her head on Ms. Ladybug’s soft, furry body.

Ah, what a Kodak moment. So sweet! I was expecting a small pillow but these are actually the perfect size, even for a teenager. Yes, teenager. I know some kids never grow too old for a cuddly teddy bear or other favorite toy. And the My Pillow Pets™ are not just cutsy toys, they are pillows as well. I have to fess up here, a few years ago I was surfing Ebay and found some old dolls I played with as a young girl. Not my actual dolls but the same types of dolls — Baby Tenderlove, Baby Brother Tenderlove, and Rub A Dub Dolly to name a few. If you’re from my time, you know the popular ones. And yea, you know how old I am now, right? hehee. Well, I bought a few of these dolls because I loved them as a little girl and I was just as excited to receive them now as I was when I was a child. Embarrassed? Not at all. Especially because of the fact that the Baby Brother Tenderlove doll I bought for just $45 in mint condition is now selling on Ebay for over $200. Can you believe that? I’m not getting rid of mine. But someone just bought one for $200 in the same condition as mine. Mint condition, comes in original box with all accessories.

Toys can last a lifetime if you take good care of them. That’s what I always did and I wish that I had kept all of my old toys. Some things you just never outgrow. hahaa. I’m a kid at heart! It’s always nice to have something soft to cuddle up to. Well, now I have my hubby. hehee

My daughter loves her ladybug pillow pet. She’s sleeping with it every night now. And she doesn’t share her with anyone. Ms. Ladybug can go with her anywhere. And my daughter can roll up her clothes in the Pillow Pet and take her to Grandma’s if she wants. No luggage needed.
