~ Thank you to Udi’s for providing samples in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are strictly my own! ~
I have to admit, I enjoy snacks on a regular basis.
The only thing is, I think within the past 2 years my body has been trying to tell me something is not right. I’ve been experiencing some unpleasant symptoms that all seem to lead back to celiac disease or some type of gluten intolerance.
It kind of sucks when you desire a taste of the good stuff but suffer from health related illnesses such as food allergies that prevent you from making your taste buds happy.
Well, if YOU have an intolerance to certain ingredients like wheat, boy do I have good news for you. Never again do you have to go without the good stuff because thanks to Udi’s Gluten Free Foods, YOU can go back to eating cookies, brownies, muffins and more without having those painful, undesirable symptoms afterwards.
One of the great things about Udi’s is that even if you aren’t trying to live a gluten-free life, you can still enjoy these tasty baked goods… and they ARE good!
I had the opportunity to try a few myself and was pleasantly surprised by the taste, texture and smell. I received a sampling of muffins, cinnamon rolls, bagels, breads, granola bars, granola cereals, and tortilla shells. Sounds yummy, right? Well, they really are!
Before I received my Udi’s kit I honestly wasn’t holding out much hope in the taste department. I mean, I wasn’t required to eat gluten-free meals and snacks (or so I thought) and neither is anyone in my home. I wasn’t expecting to like them at all either…. but I truly did.
1.) Blueberry Muffin 2.) Cinnamon Raisin Bread & Cinnamon Roll
3.) Mighty Bagel w/cream cheese 4.) Breakfast burrito w/ eggs, bell pepper & onion
What surprised me even more is that my family liked them also. My son ate nearly every blueberry muffin in the container. He LOVES blueberries! I wasn’t too thrilled about that because those were my favorite. Darn it, I should have hid those. haha!
Each item is super moist, lightly sweet and dense, just like their counterparts. Oh, and they look just like the real things. Not just some shapeless, tasteless blob in a box.
I had fun with the tortillas making different varieties of breakfast burritos and quesadillas. Since my son Derek eats eggs every day for the protein, he enjoyed these a lot!
