Home decorating has always been a passion of mine — from the paint on the walls, to the rugs on the floors. And if it doesn’t look good, or something is out of place, I tend to notice right off the bat.
I think when it comes to home decor many people tend to focus more on paint colors, wall hangings and chotchkies (knick knacks), missing some all-important key elements in their homes — lighting and other fixtures such as faucets.
No matter how pretty your walls and floors look, if your faucets and lights are cheap and ugly, they really don’t do the rest of the room any justice.
When I walk into bathrooms and kitchens the first things my eyes are drawn to are the faucets. And most times what do I see but drab, ugly or leaky faucets. Blah!
Do you have any idea how much a new faucet would improve the look of those rooms? Or how much money it could save you in the long run (from the lack of dripping water)? You would be amazed!
When it comes to this department, Pfister has you covered with a wide variety of styles, and finishes – as well as prices ranges to fit any budget and any decor.
We recently installed the Hanover 2-Handle Pull Down Faucet in our kitchen and I can’t say enough how much I love our new faucet. It gave the kitchen an instant face lift, of sorts, and surprisingly, without planning, it matches our cabinet knobs (with Tuscan Bronze finish) just perfectly. hehee!
Installation of the Hanover was fairly easy. I really appreciate it when instruction manuals include photos. It makes the job SO much easier and much, much quicker.
The Hanover manual not only gives you step-by-step instructions but shows pictures and a materials list so you know what you have in the box, and what you need to get the job done right.
This project took approximately 1 1/2 hours from start to finish, including emptying the cabinet underneath the sink, disassembling our old, yucky faucet, cleaning up the gook that was left behind and installing the new one.
One thing you’ll appreciate is that the Hanover kit comes with a quick install tool and Pfast connect which helps reduce installation time and guarantees a secure connection to your water supply lines.
1.) The old faucet 2.) Cleaned & prepped sink
3.) Valve hose & Pfast quick connect connected to water supply hoses 4.) Faucet spout & valve bodies
When installing this new faucet, the tools or materials you need (that are not included) are: an adjustable wrench, plumbers putty, safety goggles, supply hoses or tubes with 1/2″ coupling nuts, flashlight, and a cloth for clean up.
The Hanover faucet looks SO much better!
What I love most about this faucet, besides how much more sleek and attractive it is, is that the neck of the faucet is higher and longer than ordinary faucets, it has two separate handles, a matching soap dispenser and the pull down sprayer has a spray selector switch so you can regulate the pressure of your water when it’s in the spray mode. You can have more or less of a stream when washing your dishes or rinsing produce, etc.
I hated using our old faucet because it didn’t have any way of controlling the water pressure and when we used the sprayer the water went everywhere, making a mess and literally giving us a shower. What a pain! Now we can stay dry and I’m sure save money on the water we won’t be wasting.
1.) Spray selector switch 2.) Hot water handle 3.) It’s ready to use!
To maintain that beautiful tuscan bronze finish, Pfister recommends that you only use a soft damp cloth to clean it and make it shine. Using polish, detergents, abrasive cleansers, organic solvents, or acid may cause damage. Of course we don’t want that because it’s SO attractive!
The Hanover 2-Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet retails for $305.00 and can be purchased directly at www.pfisterfaucets.com. It can be installed in a 3 or 4 hole sink configuration and is also available in a stainless steel finish ($336.46).
If you’re tired of your old, worn out drippy faucet or just want to upgrade to a better faucet, I highly recommend you check out the collection that Pfister has to offer. Not only are they attractive, but made of quality materials… not those lightweight imitation ones you get from a discount store. These babies are worth every penny and SO much more!
