With all of the demands of day to day life, it takes commitment, dedication and heart when it comes to getting a good work out and/or playing sports to your full potential.
Sometimes it’s not easy finding the time or motivation but when you do it’s a great accomplishment, right? You work hard at it so why not expect or demand more from your active apparel?
My 18 year old son Derek has been committed to living a healthier, more active lifestyle for the last 2 years. He eats a ton of protein, drinks nothing but milk and water, takes vitamin supplements and works out nearly every day. I’m very proud of his dedication and drive to be fit.
Over the last few years I’ve seen him transform into a very strong, handsome young man. Yes, I’m partial but he’s accomplished a lot in such a short amount of time all on his own (with a little help from dad) and he looks great! He dreams of becoming a fitness trainer and helping others accomplish THEIR goals. I believe he will and wish him all the success and more!
Because Derek is SO active in lifting weights, running and playing sports, he needs the proper “equipment” to achieve his own goals. So, I decided to help him out a little bit and find him some quality active apparel. When I came across the MPG site on a recent search it stopped me in my tracks. And after spending some time there I knew this was exactly what I was looking for.
Up to this point Derek has been wearing old baggy clothes that honestly hid his physic underneath but since he’s worked so hard at achieving his muscular, more shapely body I thought it was about time he show it off a little bit. Just a little bit, I’m not trying to get him married off now. Stay back ladies! hehee!
Before I made my selections I let him take a look and he was drawn to the Augment Anti-bacterial Short Sleeve Tee because of the tapered fit, breathable fabric, and the bright colors. He also liked the look of the Propel Organic Hooded Pullover and the Achieve Jersey Warm Up Pants. He’s been wanting work out pants for a while now. All three of these are attractive, don’t you think?
When we received these items I was more than impressed with the overall look, feel and quality— the fabrics and stitching are by far the best I’ve ever seen. They’re very well made and I know Derek will get plenty of use for many years to come.
So what did Derek think? Take a look…
Derek is modeling the Augment tee in Atomic Blue
It looks great on him, right? Now he IS wearing a dark shirt underneath so the Augment isn’t fitting as close to his skin as it should be. He has quite a bit of muscle definition but it’s not as noticeable since there’s a different fabric under the tee. This photo was taken a short while after a work out. He couldn’t keep a straight face. hahaa!
This tee is made with 92% polyester & 8% spandex— anti-microbial fabric that helps keep the sweat and bacteria off your skin so you stay fresher longer. I really like how the stitching draws your eyes down along the curves of your body, even on the back. Plus, it has a zippered pocket along one side so you can carry an ID card or other small item without losing it.
The Augment comes in 3 bright and cheery colors; Atomic Blue (the color Derek is wearing), Wasabi, and Blaze in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. It retails for $45.00.
Derek is modeling the Propel pullover in Black
The Propel looks great too. It fits nicely, leaving some extra room for an undershirt or tee but still gives a tapered look for a slimmer silhouette. This one also has a side zippered pocket for storage. Love it!
It’s made of 100% organic cotton french terry fabric and has a 3 panel hood, plus an embroidered logo. No cheap iron-on paint that washes away!
The Propel comes in Black, Heather Oatmeal, and Heather Ash Grey in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. It retails for $86.00.
Derek is modeling the Achieve warm up pants in Heather Charcoal
These warm up pants appear to be a bit long on Derek’s 6′ frame but he likes wearing his pants a little low on his waist. If he pulled them up where they’re made to sit, they would be perfect. They still look great and fit his frame very well, leaving plenty of room for his expanding thigh and calf muscles to grow.
They’re made of 88% polyester and 12% spandex performance jersey fabric, heavy melange jersey that’s made up of 48% nylon, 40% polyester, and 12% spandex. There’s an adjustable drawcord in the waistband so you can customize the fit to your own physic. Plus, 2 side hand warmer pockets.
The Achieve warm up pants come in Black and Heather Charcoal in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. They retail for $76.00.
All 3 items are machine washable and hold up to each wash— keeping their “like new” appearance over and over again!
As you can see, each piece of athletic wear not only looks great but Derek loves the feel of each one on his skin. They’re super soft, breathable, and they stretch when he does so he doesn’t feel confined. This line of active apparel is definitely made to endure performance in any activity. And when you’re done, you can wear them outside the gym and still look great.
I’m warning you though, you just might hear a lot of whistles and get tons of compliments thrown your way. hehee!
