As a child, one of my all-time favorite Disney films was Peter Pan. After a viewing I would fantasize about having the ability to fly like the main character Peter as I glided through my parents home (arms spread wide), jumping and leaping about.
Tinkerbell is and always was one of my favorite characters. I mean, what’s not to love about her? She was SO adorable in her shiny green dress as she flitted about, dusting passersby with her pixie dust. Oh if only I could have gotten my hands on some of that sparkly stuff. I could have soared like an eagle. hehee!
To this day I still enjoy watching this magical film and thanks to Disney, this year as they celebrate their 60th anniversary release of Peter Pan, I can do just that with my family while we enjoy the Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-Ray 3-Disc combo pack.
This newest version offers 1080p, giving you a very strong high definition presentation with rich, bold colors, superb depth, and rock solid images throughout.
One great feature of this 3-disc pack is that it comes with two English audio options. The Dolby Digital 1.0 original theatrical track and the new, more exhilarating DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound mix. The second option gives you more music that’s sent to your surround sound with added bass.
Speaking of music, you can choose Disney Sing Along that puts the musical lyrics on the screen so you can sing along throughout the movie. How fun! Something else that’s fun is, when the pause button is depressed, a Disney Intermission is activated giving you instructions on how to become a pirate. Arrr!!! Once the pause button is depressed again, the movie resumes.
From the Vault Disney documentary section you can check out featurettes such as:
The first disc also includes promo trailers for WRECK-IT Ralph, The Little Mermaid 3D, and Monsters University. I’m SO stoked about seeing the new Monsters film. Can’t wait for that one!
On disc two you get the DVD version of the film and on disc three there’s a digital copy of this classic. The storybook app can be played on an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch.
I really love how polished this cherished film appears in audio and video. It still holds a special place in my heart and will now last a lifetime… all thanks to Disney!
