I’m sure that most of you remember my weight loss journey that I shared with you over a 6 month period early last year.
Well, within a few months of ending those weekly posts, I slowly began gaining the weight back. Not all of it but 20 pounds. Yes, I admit, I failed. The reason being, life got in the way and I began relying on pain meds to get me through the day. Gotta love those old injuries!
I also went back to skipping meals (my main downfall). Being hypoglycemic, I shouldn’t do that but I tend to get so busy during the day that I just forget to eat and by the time I remember, well, I’m feeling quite loopy. Bad, bad Dee. Go ahead and yell at me. I deserve it!
So, now what? I’m slowly moving toward getting back to “work”. Not only in eating as often as I should, but eating WHAT I should and drinking more water. I started slacking off on drinking water and drank more pop. That’s such a bad choice. To be honest, I really don’t even care for the taste of pop, especially the diet variety. I guess I drink it more so out of habit and because hubby is always sucking it down. Yes, I need to stop it.
I truly need to wean hubby from the caffeine too. Well, maybe not the caffeine but the bubbly stuff. I still like my morning coffee — no, I HAVE TO HAVE my morning coffee, and fresh brewed iced tea. hehee!
I certainly have my work cut out for me. That is for sure, and with the help of my loyal readers here and my family, I can get back to better health.
Another new change that’s coming for me is that hubby and I have decided, or we all have decided (as a family) that it’s time to start gathering our unwanted things and sort them into piles (in our case, large piles) — a sell pile, a donation pile and trash the rest.
See, we’ve made this commitment because come Spring, we are putting our house on the market and will move once the house sells. It’s been a long time coming really. We’ve lived in our house for over 12 years and we’re wanting a fresh start in a new location. Preferably warmer climate. And before listing our home we need to unload quite a bit and organize the rest.
Anyone know where I can find great deals on organization stuff? hehee!
Yep, there’s lots of work to do and I need all the help and motivation I can get.
