The holiday season tends to bring lots of get togethers, good food, loads of laughs and the making of new memories. Of course it also means taking tons and tons of pictures. It’s how memories are often shared.
If you’re like me you have albums full of family photos, handmade crafts given by the kids, old grade cards, greeting cards, and anything else not worth letting go of. We actually saved one outfit each of our kids wore when they were newborns (as a token of those special memories) so they can check them out later in life and get a few giggles. It’s amazing to look back and remember how tiny they were. So precious!
Problem is… these keepsakes aren’t guaranteed to last. No one knows when a natural disaster such as a fire or flood could strike and ruin these special items. And I’m sure things like this mean just as much to you as they do to me. So, it keeps me thinking about how I can protect these valuables.
SentrySafe, a leader in safe manufacturing believes that everyone’s life ‘story’ should be safe and that’s why they design safes to fit the needs of everyone including retirees, and college students. As you may remember, back in October I introduced you to the limited edition pink fire chest (created by SentrySafe).
Well, thankfully, that’s not all SentrySafe has to offer. See, not everyone’s ‘story‘ is the same ‘size’ and so, SentrySafe offers a variety of safes in different sizes and designs to fit nearly any budget and/ or accommodations.
I recently had the pleasure of checking out the Combination Big-Bolts Fire Safe SF123CS and I’m extremely happy, not to mention feeling more at ease now that I know my family’s keepsakes are safe and sound.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
1.) Front view 2.) Turn the mechanical dial to proper combination
3.) Push down on pry-resistant hinge bar 4.) Open door to expose inside w/ multi-position shelf
This safe is very cool. Not only does it accommodate many of our valuables but they’re protected behind some extremely thick steel bolts, and the safe itself requires the correct combination in order to get in. I would say it would be super tough to “crack” this safe. haha!
Oh, and you don’t have to worry about someone carrying it off in a hurry because it weighs 90 pounds. It’s no flimsy little lightweight! Plus, for added security it can be bolted to the floor.
Let’s see you thieves snatch this one before the cops get here. LOL
The exterior of the Combination Fire Safe measures 17.8″ x 16.3″ x 19.3″. And the interior is 13.8″ x 12.6″ x 11.9″. Pretty good size, eh?
When UPS delivered this baby it took Gina and I both to get it in the house. The guys weren’t here so we struggled a little but managed. hehee! Now it’s in it’s new home, tucked away nice and neat.
1.) Side view of door 2.) Steel bolts in comparison to my fingers
3.) Built-in hooks for keys, necklaces or bracelets 4.) Built-in pocket for important papers
With this bad boy you definitely don’t have to worry about your valuables during a fire. Why? Because the Combination safe offers 1 hour of protection for up to 1700° F, even for those CD’s and DVD’s. That’s pretty darned hot! So go ahead, put your keepsakes in there — your photos, birth certificates, wedding license, titles, insurance papers, jewelry, and more because SentrySafe is ready to protect and serve.
I don’t know about you but that certainly puts ME at ease. I can breathe a sigh of relief now when I think about how traumatic a fire can actually be. Thanks to SentrySafe, I can lock our precious memories away and rest assured that they’ll still be there, safe and sound when I need or want them.
