Interactive E-Books
My favorite feature is that children can access interactive e-books that include vivid colors, narration, sounds and music. And for educational purposes, words are highlighted as your child reads. If he or she gets stuck on a particular word, the Innotab 2S offers pronunciation assistance when the word is touched.
Each e-book also includes a story dictionary so your child can learn the meaning of new words.
Fun and Educational Games, Activities, and Tools
What fun would a techy gadget be without games? The Innotab 2S offers a library of included games, and activities, as well as onboard apps that are sure to keep your child entertained for hours.
One super exciting feature of the art studio app (in particular) is that as your child listens to music and views video, they can draw right on the LCD screen with their finger or by using one of the included styluses. Vtech University
A fun, and valuable asset to the Innotab 2S, the Vtech University, is an online program that focuses on the fundamental areas of reading, math and science — 3 major subjects that, in the U.S. children continue to fall behind in.
Vtech University offers fun and engaging curriculum for children ages 3 – 9 and allows parents to log in and track their child’s progress as they go along. If, for some reason your child can’t complete a project, they can easily go back to it later and pick up, right where they left off.
This is a great way for children to get a head start on their education!
Built-In Wi-Fi for app browsing only
It’s a piece of technology so of course the Innotab 2S comes complete with built-in wi-fi which allows your child to safely connect to the internet for access to new games, e-books and apps. The Learning Lodge Navigator not only gives your child access to a huge library of fun, but you as a parent can check in on your child’s progress as they learn a variety of lessons and build milestones. Gotta love that!
Within the Learning Lodge Navigator your child can create a wish list of apps he or she would love to have and through email generation, you can be alerted on the apps they want to buy. Oh boy, is that good or bad? hehee!

Lastly, I love that Vtech offers software cartridges (sold separately) that gives a greater variety of e-books, games, and creative activities where your child can play and learn. Choose from popular favorites such as Scooby-Doo, Mickey Mouse, Dora the Explorer, Toy Story and much more.

When Vtech created this super fun gadget they pretty much thought of everything — I love everything about it, especially how durable it is. It’s sized just right for small hands but it’s very entertaining, while still providing tons of educational learning. Just don’t tell your kids! haha.
Young children may require assistance with downloading apps and activities but once it’s set up, everything else pretty much comes natural. Be prepared to hear some squeals and giggles!

This looks like a very fun and educations gadget that my nieces would love! I really like the interactive ebooks and vtech university. These would both be great learning tools. It is so great that they also have software cartridges so you can choose your favorite characters. My nieces will love the scooby doo cartridges. Thank you for the great review!

This is SO Freaking Amazing! I am really excited about this. . . especially the e-books. Makes traveling so much easier whether it is a trip on a plane or simple errands in the car…children can beat boredom and learn learn learn. LOVE THIS! Thanks.

This is great! Technology has come so far since my kids were little. I know my son used to love his VTech toys, but they were not this cool lol.

Hmmm… sure beats having them use MY stuff!
MY son has one for his little guy. The other 3 younger grandkids are only JUST one, so in a couple years we shall see if this is still available or may have upgraded. Technology goes SO fast for adults but also for kids. I remember the very first interactive and learning toys from Vtech. I was amazed then and still now!
Looks like a wonderful product for the little ones. Would be perfect for a trip in the car or plane. So many great techy products for kids now days. You have to love it.
Oh we love the Vtech brand! Several of my little ones carry theirs around with them every where we go! Great ideas to think about… perhaps my tablet would take less of a beating if granma had a couple of these around!

Fun and educational for kids.
These are so much fun for kids and a great step in learning how to work electronics without using the more expensive ipads, etc. They’re so educational and give the kids a step up. V-tech products really helped my kids when they were younger.
