When it comes to cooking, bigger really IS sometimes better, especially when it comes to your kitchen scale.
As you may remember, I reviewed the EatSmart Precision Pro scale last year around this time. And although it was a nice scale with great features, it was a bit small.
When using larger mixing bowls or plates I found myself having to move the container around to see the LCD screen or duck down to see the reading.
Not so convenient when you’re in the middle of cooking or baking, right?
Well, EatSmart went and improved upon the Precision scale and created the Precision Elite digital scale with a 15 pound weight capacity. Whoa! That’s one hefty scale.
Now don’t get me wrong, this baby is not a big, bulky or extremely heavy scale. Nope, it’s still fairly compact and lightweight, only it’s about 1/3 larger than it’s predecessor and can handle up to 15 pounds in weight. Plus, it’s stainless steel, not plastic like the pro version. I love that!
The stainless steel platform is extra durable and easy to clean. Not to mention ample enough to accommodate the larger mixing bowls I tend to use on a regular basis when baking.
Something else I love about the Elite is the backlit LCD screen. The pro didn’t have that. It comes in handy when you have a poorly lit kitchen and it makes it a whole lot easier to read should you use a large container that’s still a bit larger than the platform.
I am really loving my new Precision Elite scale. The stainless steel finish is very attractive and looks great on my counter. Plus it has all of the other features offered with the pro, only it’s better.
