I’ve never been one to look forward to snow. And I truly abhor the frigid temperatures that come along with winter. Sorry, but I’m a warm, tropical weather kind of girl.

I do love my boots though — of course I love shoes period. You should know that by now! hehee.

The thing is, when it comes to boots, not only should they keep my tootsies nice and warm, but they HAVE to look stylish as well. I’m a fashionista ya know! haha.

Lugz really fits the bill when it comes to fashionable footwear. Since 1993, Lugz has been a key leader and innovator in urban footwear. So much so that it didn’t take long for key players from the world of hip hop to endorse this amazing shoe designer. They’ve continued creating trendsetting styles even way beyond boots by adding casual shoes and athletics to their lineup.

My favorite Lugz boots are the women’s Drifter w/ fur. They resemble my hubby’s work boots yet the fur give them a more feminine appearance. And the creamy wheat color is a little lighter than his which I love. They’re more girly yet still very sturdy (like hubby’s), and boy do they keep my feet warm.

The upper portion is made of nubuck leather which is very soft to the touch. The insides are lined with a soft wool which aids in giving you that extra toasty feeling. And the outsoles are the distinctive (work boot) rubber that gives you the traction you need on slippery ground. We haven’t had any serious snow here yet but I’m ready baby. Bring it on!

I typically wear shoes with heels, the truly girly kind but when I laid eyes on my Drifters, I was in love. My hubby is quite shocked that I would choose this type of boot. Well honey, I’m the kind of girl who can look good and play hard and to do that, I need good quality, feminine, yet rugged boots. hehee!

The Drifter boots have an edgy look that goes quite well with a pair of jeggings or boot cut jeans. And what’s great is you can dress up or down by pairing them with a t-shirt or even a blouse or sweater. I’ve even been caught wearing them with my lounge pants to go get the mail. hahaa!

I can certainly see why Lugz are so popular. They’re super cool, they’re made of great quality materials, and they’re made to stand the test of time. These babies are not your discount store boots!
