Our love of flying seems to have been passed down to our kids.
I remember my first time flying back in 1990. I was nervous and a bit intimidated by the massive size of the jet. But once I got up into the air and could look out and see all of the mountains and houses and everything I was more at ease.
It was pretty cool being up above the clouds. I didn’t care too much for the bumpiness when we flew through them but honestly I loved flying and wanted to do it again and again.
On our recent trip to Florida, Derek sat by the window (which was right next to the right wing) and was amazed by the jets. At first he was a little worried about flying but after the plane started taking off (quickly) and then soared into the sky he was quite happy. He liked being able to see everything from above. He also loved that we were riding so fast. This boy loves fast cars and was shocked to see just how fast planes actually move.
The only thing about airplanes is, you have to be a pilot in order to ‘drive’ them. Sorry Derek! hehee.
With Little Tikes Big Adventure Action Fliers airport play set, your little ones will be in for some high-flying fun without any fears of actually being up near the clouds.
This mini airport, with its long ramp-like launcher, helicopter pad, airplane hangar, and spiral tower can provide hours of fun for your little “pilots”.
For play, send the airplane down the ramp by attaching it to the truck. Release it at the top and watch as it glides down and jumps into flight. Once the planes are done for the day, send them down the spiral ramp and store them in the hangar.
The Big Adventure Action Fliers play set includes:
Lights and sounds helicopter landing pad
To help guide the helicopter safely to the landing pad, Little Tikes added some realistic lights and sounds to the tower. Super cool!
Also, a garage is located just below the airplane ramp for storing the work truck. What would an airport be without one of those?
Airplane hangar for storing aircraft
This play set is large enough for more than one child (ages 2 and up) which adds to the fun. While one is acting as head pilot, another can be flying the helicopter out into the sky.
Each part of the play set is made of hard and flexible plastic and takes approximately 30 minutes to assemble. Plus, the only tool needed is a Phillips screwdriver. That’s easy enough, right?
BUY IT!
The Little Tikes Big Adventure Action Fliers Airport play set (SRP $39.99) can be purchased directly at www.littletikes.com. As well as Toys R Us and Amazon.com. Prices may vary per store.
