The holiday season is fast approaching and with it comes lots of cooking, baking and entertaining. I don’t know about any of you but I love hosting get-togethers in my home. I love bringing family and friends together to share great food and good company.
It’s a time when we can all unwind from our busy schedules and catch up on what’s been going on in each of our lives (ok, it’s a time to catch up on juicy gossip too. hahaa!).
Thanksgiving is one of the major holidays when I get down to business in the kitchen and cook up a ton of food. The only problem is, when serving it to guests, I always had more food (that required heat) than oven space and so I always found myself lining up dishes on counter tops and tables (and the food quickly got cold). What’s appealing about that?
Thanks to Nostalgia Electrics, and their 3-Station Steel Buffet & Warming Tray, I can now free up some space in my oven and my family can dine on hot and tasty food — exactly the way it should be!
This is honestly the first time I’ve ever used a small kitchen appliance like this. I had thought about purchasing one in the past but feared it would either burn my food or not keep it at the correct temperature, and so, I stuck with my old tradition.
Well, not anymore… because the 3-Station Buffet & Warming Tray is awesome! I’ll never go back to stressing over side dishes being strung amok throughout my kitchen or lined up on a table in the living room again.
With the 3-station buffet, not only can you keep side dishes hot, or at your desired temperature, but also (after removing the chaffing dishes & pan holder) warm your dinner rolls, bread and other baked goods on the large warming tray. Who likes warm and gooey chocolate chip cookies? Ooo Ooo… ME!!!
PRODUCT FEATURES:
Although Thanksgiving isn’t here yet, I decided to put this baby to the test and it did it’s job… quite well I might add. I roasted a large turkey, and made dressing in a separate casserole dish. Now once that was ready I needed some space for other foods so I spooned the dressing, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli in the 3-station buffet. It gave me a lot more room to work at my oven.
Of course I preheated the buffet first before adding the food so it stayed all hot and yummy!
Just look at that moisture. You know it’s hot & tasty now!
There’s a temperature dial (with low to high settings) on the front where you control how warm or hot you want your food. A red light glows to let you know when the buffet is heating up. It’s pretty simple to use. Out of the box you place the heating surface on your counter or wherever you plan to serve your guests. Then place the pan holder (outer ring) on next. Then insert the 3 separate chaffing dishes. Add your food and cover with the clear lids.
The lids are pre-formed with an opening on the front to accommodate a serving spoon (not included).
You’ll be happy to know that not only did the buffet keep my food hot, but it didn’t burn, even the food at the bottom stayed toasty and fresh. I LOVE THAT!
Something else I love is the ease of cleaning. Everything but the heating surface can be placed in your dishwasher to remove leftover food particles. And because I lightly pre-sprayed the insides of the chaffing dishes with non-stick cooking oil before adding my food, no scrubbing was necessary. The food (when being spooned out for dining) came out easily and without sticking. Awesome!
The 3-station buffet & warming tray is also lightweight. Which is great because with my bad back, the last thing I want to be doing (after cooking for hours) is lugging a heavy appliance around in the kitchen.
BUY IT!
You can purchase the Nostalgia Electrics 3-Station Steel Buffet & Warming Tray at retailers such as Sears, Home Depot, and JcPenney, as well as online at Amazon.com. APR $49.99. Prices may vary per store.
If you’re looking to entertain guests this holiday season, I highly recommend the 3-station buffet & warming tray from Nostalgia Electrics because the last thing you want to be doing is worrying about the temperature of your food. It’s attractive, functional and affordable!
This product would also make a great gift for the special cook or host/hostess in your life!
