Let’s get real here… I LOVE candy. No surprise there, right? hahaa!

Yes, I have a sweet tooth and I’m not afraid to say it. I’m also not afraid to say that up until just recently I never really thought much about what was in those candies I noshed on regularly. Ok, no tomato throwing here. I’m being honest!

Thanks to UNREAL™ candy, I now have a better sense of what my old snacks are made of and boy am I a little nauseous. Bleh!

Over the weekend we were given the opportunity to try UNREAL candy with friends and family — and let’s just say we let our taste buds be the judges.

Whats so special about UNREAL?

Well, let’s see. UNREAL has everything you want and nothing you don’t.

NO artificials
NO hydrogenateds
NO corn syrups
NO preservatives
NO GMOs (genetically modified organisms)

There’s also 40% (or more) less sugar added per serving on average. And dairy products that are used to create UNREAL candies come from pasture raised cows with no antibiotics or added hormones. I know what you’re thinking… “then it HAS to taste gross!” Well, you couldn’t be further from wrong.

UNREAL manufactures many of the great flavor combinations that we all know and have come to love over the years but without the corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, GMO’s, and artificial colors/flavors or preservatives. Their candies are UNJUNKED so all you taste is creamy, yummy, crunchy goodness without all the crap.

When it comes to candy, if the package says “candy”, I’m all over it like flies on… well, you get the picture. I’m ready to try it. haha! And when this large box of UNREAL candy showed up at my door step, I had a really hard time staying out of it until I got everyone together. Like I always say, I’m willing to try anything once.

So, you’re probably wondering what we all thought, right? I’ve already researched the closest retailer that sells it. Does that tell you anything?

Seriously, we all enjoyed it. REALLY!

Here’s what we got to try:

UNREAL 5 – Chocolate Caramel Nougat Bars
UNREAL 8 – Chocolate Peanut Caramel Nougat Bars
UNREAL 41 – Candy Coated Chocolate Pieces
UNREAL 54 – Candy Coated Chocolate Pieces with Peanuts
UNREAL 77 – Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Now I’m quite sure you can decipher which candies these resemble but if you take a close look at the nutritional list you will see that UNREAL candies (like those listed above) contain 60% more fiber and 250% more protein. Now that’s UNREAL!!!

A few of my guests were a bit hesitant to try these goodies because as you can imagine, if something is supposed to be healthier, it typically tastes like crap. Well, these taste just as good, if not better than the “junked” candy and no, I was NOT paid to say that. I’m picky about my snacks and food in general and if it doesn’t taste good, I’m honestly not going to eat it (sorry to say).

I was extremely surprised by the taste, texture and even appearance of UNREAL candy. It tastes GOOD! And it makes me feel at ease knowing that none of the unhealthy ingredients are used to make them. No, that doesn’t mean I can eat a crate, but it’s SO much better for you.

My favorites are the candy coated chocolate pieces with peanuts (UNREAL 54) and the plain candy coated pieces (UNREAL 41). They’re just like the junk ones, only better! These candies have a dark chocolate taste so if you prefer that over milk chocolate, these babies are for you. You’ll love ‘em!

Do they sell these in jumbo size so I can fill my gumball machine? hehee!

My hubby’s favorite is the chocolate peanut butter cups (UNREAL 77) which really didn’t surprise me. We did notice a slight difference in the taste of these. They’re a tiny bit saltier, and you can taste a little more peanut butter (not as sweet) but hey, they’re pretty darned good nonetheless.

A few guests loved the UNREAL 8 bar best. I guess it’s all in which ingredient combinations you love most. I tend to hover toward nuts, caramel and chocolate, while peanut butter and chocolate makes my hubby go crazy. hehee!

Sadly I had to let my guests go home with a goody bag of UNREAL candy. I really wanted to keep it all for myself. Darn it!
