One of the most treasured moments I will always cherish about my children was the bond we shared during nighttime feedings in their nursery — when I would rock them, sing to them and just feel the closeness while sitting in our comfy rocking chair.
That chair has been long gone but the memories will last a lifetime!
It’s a real shame our old rocker was broken during a move. I mean every home deserves a comfy chair for special moments like that. They’re unforgettable!
It’s kind of funny but I still to this day will hurry and grab the comfy seat at family members homes. Especially if they rock or move. It takes me right back to the days when I held my babies in my arms and enjoyed our little moments together.
Delta Children’s Products offers a wide range of the finest children’s furniture to fit nearly any nursery decor — from cribs, to dressers and gliders, they have it all in beautiful styles and finishes.
When I was informed that I was going to receive an Eclipse Glider and Ottoman for review I was thrilled beyond belief.
I seriously couldn’t wait for this baby to arrive. And when it did, I ripped into the package, rushed to check the materials list and gather what I needed and off I went putting it together so I could just sit and reminisce. hehee!
Glider parts — BEFORE assembly!
Assembly couldn’t have been any easier. I mean the only tool required was a screwdriver and the allen wrench (that was included). My hubby assisted a little because he could sense my excitement. It does help when you have an extra hand when putting together large pieces such as these. He’s SO sweet!
Most pieces come pre-assembled, leaving the back, arms and cushions. To start, you attach the back to the seat bottom. This is pretty simple, especially since the manual includes step-by-step instructions along with an image diagram.
Back attached to seat bottom!
Next, attach both arms to the back and seat. Make sure you pay close attention to the arms so that the snaps are on the insides after assembling.
Now we have arms!
Your next step is attaching the seat to the glider base. And then wrapping the arms with the included pads, making sure you attach them via the built-in snaps on the chair frame. Then add your cushy chair pad.
There’s only one step to completing the ottoman. Using the screws, attach the padded top to the glider base and voilà, you’re all set!
This project only took approximately 15 minutes from start to finish. And now we have a beautiful, super comfy, glider to kick back and relax in. Take a look…
Isn’t it gorgeous?
To be honest, I wish that I had received the glider earlier in the day because by the time UPS dropped it off and we got it assembled, I only had a few minutes to enjoy it. After that my son Derek came home from school and sat down and spent quite a bit of time in it (giggling the whole time because he knew I wanted to check it out). Every time I wanted to go back to it someone else was in it. Between him and Gina, I never thought I’d get another chance. They kept hogging it! haha.
I felt like mama bear — “someone’s been sitting in my chair — and they’re STILL there!”
Well, luckily they attend school so I get a few hours every day now– and I’m loving every minute of it. The Eclipse glider and ottoman are SO amazing. The padding feels wonderful on my bad back. It gives me a lot of support and feels so great that I let out a sigh of relief every time I sit down. Ahh!
This baby glides SO smoothly too, not only the chair but the ottoman as well. And it’s quiet — you don’t hear a peep. Love that!
A CLOSE UP LOOK…
1.) Stain Resistant Micro Fiber Fabric & Espresso Wood Stain 2.) Built-in Snap pad attachment
3.) Under the seat pad 4.) Ottoman glider base
Overall I really love the Eclipse glider and ottoman. The espresso wood stain is really lovely and goes well with our other dark wood furniture. In different lighting it appears really dark brown but when natural light hits it, you can see a reddish tone. Very pretty!
And the suede-like micro fiber fabric is super soft and luxurious. I find myself sitting in the glider and rubbing my arms across the fabric subconsciously. haha! A super bonus — the fabric is stain resistant. Oh boy, I love that. When you have kids in the house, THAT is the type of fabric you want because spills are inevitable. Have we experienced any yet? Unfortunately yes but they’ve came out easily with just a damp cloth. You can’t even tell my son spilled anything. My heart sank when he told me he accidentally got his drink on the arm of the chair but after rubbing the damp cloth over it and blotting it with a clean, dry towel, it came right out. Woohoo!
Look how thick that is!
