Sweet Unexpected Surprise Delivery

Just a little while ago I received a package — delivered by UPS. A medium-sized, square, brown packing box filled with — well, I didn’t know at that point. Hubby was the one who brought it in.

Of course being a blogger, I get packages delivered all the time. My home has become a regular stop for UPS and FedEx. And so I just figured it was another review product and went back to what I was doing until I had a free moment.

When I finished my project I proceeded to pick up the box and read the label. This is my first indication of whether the item is for review purposes or something I purchased. See, for person deliveries I use my full name. For reviews I use my nickname because it’s so much easier for people to remember.

The label said “Dee”. Ok, yep, it’s for a review. No problem.

I pick up my box cutter and open the box. I look inside. There’s lots of paper. So I remove a handful and look again. What in the world? I’m still not exactly sure what this is.

At that point I hadn’t seen any business card, letter, nothing identifiable. The outside of the box said 1-800-Flowers so I was assuming maybe it was something they sent for review but I had just received a review and giveaway request just minutes before this package showed up. Wow… were they really THAT fast? Impossible!

I’m still confused so I put my hand in the box and remove it’s contents. Oh my… WOW… it’s a huge fortune cookie that’s been dipped in chocolate and coated with sprinkles. Awe, how cute! I’ve never seen one this big. I LOVE IT!!! But wait… who is it from? There’s no indicators here. I’m baffled and my hubby is starting to think I have a secret admirerer. No hubby! At least I don’t think so. hahaa!

I walked the ginormous cookie into the kitchen and sit it on the counter so I can unwrap it. I knew that with other fortune cookies, there’s always a fortune so just maybe the paper sticking out the end will tell me something.

That’s one BIG fortune cookie!

I give it a tug and it slowly comes out. I start to read and a smile appears on my face. The oversized fortune reads:

AWE!!! I’ve been accepted into this years mom blogger program as a brand advocate. I am SO flattered. This is the coolest way I have ever been excepted as a brand ambassador. What a really sweet and nice surprise. I was not expecting this at all. And thank the Lord it was NOT from an admirerer. My hubby would not have been happy. hahaa!

Did I try the cookie? Of course I did. Are you serious? Cookies and chocolate with sprinkles are sitting before me and you think I wouldn’t taste it. Boy have you got me all wrong if you think that tempting cookie was going to stay all in one piece for long. hahaa!

It’s good. Really good. And to be honest, it’s one special delivery. I’m thinking seriously of sending a few myself. And no, I can’t say to who. It would ruin the surprise.

To everyone at Step2… THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the wonderful surprise. I LOVE IT!!!

I had no idea it was on it’s way. As a matter of fact I didn’t even think I would receive a gift. But it’s very much appreciated and we will definitely enjoy it.
