If you’re like me — sitting in front of the computer all day for work and or other reasons can sure have it’s up’s and downs. It creates a number of health issues such as eye strain, back, shoulder and neck pain, not to mention pain in the wrist of your dominant hand due to holding your mouse in one stiff position.

I do a lot of design work for small businesses as well as a huge amount of typing. My fingers and especially the wrist of my right hand sure does become achy quite quickly. It’s nearly impossible to surf the internet without some sort of mouse and while navigating websites. In doing so, you keep your hand in one position while pushing forward, backward and side to side with your arm. That’s what causes the aches and stiffness.

Luckily, Smartfish has designed a new gadget with a pivoting motion to take the strain off of your wrist. That gadget is the ErgoMotion Laser Mouse.

The Whirl ErgoMotion Laser Mouse is different from any other mouse on the market because it features a patented pivot motion design. The pivot action allows your mouse to move with your natural hand and wrist positions, adapting to your unique movements while you work to help improve blood flow.

Being a blogger, I’m constantly on my laptop writing content, moderating comments, deleting unwanted posts and writing or responding to numerous emails. This sure puts a strain on my wrist! With this pivot, it lets me move how I want to move, not how the mouse wants to direct me.

The pivoting motion doesn’t just rock back and forth either. It swivels on a “ball and socket” allowing you to maneuver it in a circular pattern. It truly redefines what an ergonomic product SHOULD be by reducing your risk of Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI)

What I love about the Whirl™ ErgoMotion mouse, besides the ‘rocking’ movements is the fact that it does not require any software download. That means it’s not going to steal more space on your computer, I sure don’t want that and I know you don’t either. The built-in nano-transceiver is an intelligent plug and play device that provides instant and uninterrupted connection, without any annoying wires.

I really like this transceiver better than my old one because it’s so tiny, you almost don’t even notice it. My old one stuck out so far that when I walked with my laptop, yes I do that, I would bump into things by accident.

Another great feature is the on/off button. This saves your batteries, unlike other mice I’ve used. It’s quite nerve-wracking to be in the middle of a project when all of a sudden your mouse just dies. UGH! Well, not with the Whirl ErgoMotion. The batteries have lasted a whole lot longer because I shut it off after each use.

My hubby likes that this mouse is ambidextrous because he and my kids are all “lefties” and of course they sneak and use my laptop since it’s typically left in our living room. No one wants to go up to the home office. hahaa
